TRS™ and OHD™ Thermal Sensors

Thermal sensors are used in a variety of applications and play an important role in maintaining stable operation in electronics by monitoring temperature. KEMET's TRS sensors are thermal reed switches and its OHD series are well-suited for thermal problem countermeasures and safety standard conformity. The unique proprietary design of both sensors features a magnet and temperature-sensing soft ferromagnetic substance called Thermorite®. The material's magnetic flux density decreases as the temperature increases turning it into a paramagnetic substance at the Curie temperature.
