The DisplayPort interconnect system from Molex consists of a 20-circuit, 0.50 mm pitch SMT, external receptacles designed with a polarized D-shape mating interface, and metal shield for full EMI/RFI protection. The connectors are designed with four solder pins for added mechanical stability and robustness, as well as a snap-in plastic peg for positive polarization during connector mounting. DisplayPort cable assemblies come in both latching and non-latching versions and are overmolded at both ends. To enhance flexibility, Molex's DisplayPort interconnects offer several cable adapters that allow users to connect enabled devices to legacy graphics devices, such as DVI and HDMI.
Transporting high-definition video, audio, and data between notebook PCs and displays, DisplayPort interconnects meet the digital interface industry standard for PC and CE markets.
