Grove Expansion Boards with Sensirion Air Quality,

Seeed's Grove System uses a building block approach to assembling electronics, which makes it easier to connect, experiment, and build compared to a jumper or solder-based system without becoming dumbed down. The base shield allows for easy connection of MCU I/Os such as the Grove boards based on Sensirion's SGP30 VOC and eCO2 gas sensor, SHT31 temperature and humidity sensor, and SHT35 I2C high accuracy temperature and humidity sensor.

The Grove - VOC and eCO2 Gas Sensor (SGP30) is an air quality detection sensor based on SGP30. It provides total volatile organic compounds (TVOC) and CO2eq output for this module. The SGP30 is a digital multi-pixel gas sensor designed for easy integration into air purifier, demand controlled ventilation, and IoT applications. Sensirion's CMOSens® technology offers a complete sensor system on a single chip, featuring a digital I2C interface, a temperature-controlled micro-hotplate, and two preprocessed indoor air quality signals. As the first metal oxide gas sensor featuring multiple sensing elements on one chip, the SGP30 provides more detailed information about the air quality.

The Grove - I2C Temperature and Humidity Sensors (SHT31) and I2C High Accuracy Temperature and Humidity Sensor (SHT35) are based on SHT3x-DIS, Sensirion’s next generation temperature and humidity sensors, building on a CMOSens sensor chip that is at the heart of Sensirion’s humidity and temperature platform. The SHT3x-DIS has increased intelligence, reliability, and improved accuracy specifications compared to their predecessors. Their functionality includes enhanced signal processing, two distinctive and user selectable I2C addresses, and communication speeds of up to 1 MHz.
