Essentra’s hole bushings are used to finish off holes and ensure that rough edges do not damage the wires that pass through them, eliminating the need to grind a punched hole. Hole bushings are available for hole sizes ranging from 3/16” up to 3”.
Split bushings are used when the wires are installed before the bushing or if the bushing needs to be removed for service.
Hole plugs are used to finish off a hole after the assembly is completely built. They can be used to fill a service entrance or to fill unused holes in sheet metal.
Several materials are available with nylon being the most common and polyethylene being more economical and easier to remove. Silicone can be used in high heat environments with a maximum temperature of 500°F. PVC is best for applications with exposure to the outdoors. TPE and TPR both offer flexibility and resistance to oils, acids, and alkalies.
