Allegro’s first windowless sinusoidal fan driver with integrated MOSFETs achieves reduction of audible fan noise, which is a key measure of success as electronics become further integrated into all living spaces. The AMT49400 is targeted specifically at 12 V fans used in desktop computers, all-in-one computers, GPU/CPU cooling fans, and appliance fans.
The windowless algorithm further advances Allegro’s sensorless sinusoidal BLDC family by providing low noise performance, superior efficiency, and high reliability. The integrated three-phase bridge with few external components reduce system footprint and enables smaller form factor for laptops. Allegro’s digital algorithm and EEPROM parameter settings provide flexibility while reducing design cycle time.
