Infineon Technologies SMPS High Power Topology is suitable for power applications above 400W. Following the front end stage of an AC/DC rectifier, a DC/DC power converter is required to step down the bus voltage and provide a galvanically isolated and tightly regulated DC output (eg. 12V, 24V, 48V). While a wide range of isolated topologies are available, the phase-shifted full-bridge converter is more suitable for higher power application for reasons such as its inherent Zero Voltage Switching for the primary side switches.Learn More

Infineon Technologies PFC Boost CrCM (Critical Conduction Mode) / CCM (Continuous Conduction Mode) helps shape the input current of the power supply to be in synchronization with the mains voltage, in order to maximize the real power drawn from the mains. CCM is the most popular topology used in PFC applications and is commonly used for medium/high power ranges (higher than 300W), for reasons such as lower current peaks and better line filtering in terms of cost and size. CrCM is more commonly used for low power (less than 300W) PFC applications.
