TVS Silicon Protection Arrays (SPA)
Littelfuse TVS Diode Arrays SPA™ (Silicon Protection Arrays) are designed to protect electronics from very fast and damaging voltage transients, such as lightning and electrostatic discharge (ESD). The diodes offer an ideal protection solution for I/O interfaces and digital and analog signal lines in computer and consumer portable electronics. The TVS SPA diodes offer a broader application use and improved impulse protection performance over conventional diodes.
SP1255 & SP1555 Series TVS Diode Arrays for VBUS
Littelfuse SP1255 & SP1555 Series TVS Diode Arrays for VBUS integrates a 13.5V or 15V, respectively, TVS diode to provide lightning surge protection for the USB VBUS pin. The SP1255 provides up to 160A (tp=8/20µs) and the SP1555 provides up to 120A (tp=8/20µs) lighting surge protection per the IEC 61000-4-5 standard. These TVS diode arrays provide superior protection for current intensive applications such as fast charging peripherals and are ideal solutions for smart phones, tablets, and other portable electronics.

USB 3.1 Type C Circuit Protection
Littelfuse USB 3.1 Type C Circuit Protection offers overcurrent and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection while maintaining USB 3.1 Type C data integrity. The host and all self-powered hubs must implement over-current protection for safety purposes and the hub must have a way to detect the over-current condition and report it to the USB software. Polymeric PTCs from Littelfuse provide an ideal solution for over-current protection.Promoting high signal integrity on the data lines of the USB 3.1 Type C interface offers benchmark-settling, silicon based, low capacitance ESD protection, while providing effective ESD protection on the Vbus, USB 2.0, and control lines of the interface.
