MAX22191 Digital Isolator
The MAX22191 Digital Isolator is an IEC 61131-2 compliant industrial Digital Input (DI) device that converts a 24V digital input to a 2.4mA current. This digital isolator drives current for the optical isolators. The voltage thresholds and current levels in MAX22191 are compliant with Type 1 and Type 3 inputs that also minimize power dissipation. This isolator is parasitically powered as the operating power is derived from the input signal eliminating the need for any external field-side power supply. The MAX22191 isolator consists of a CMOS-compatible test input for safety diagnostics. This digital isolator acquires robust functionality and integrated thermal shutdown.
