Cypress CapSense Express Controllers enable the user to integrate up to 16 GPIOs for a sleek and trendy Capacitive sensing solution. The addition of the ultra-low power CY8CMBR2xxx series into this family, coupled with the SmartSense Auto-tuning algorithm, revolutionizes the simplicity and ease with which up to 16 GPIOs can be integrated into CapSense solutions without the mundane and tiresome process of manual tuning. This advantage enables quick turn time-to-market, while also maintaining flexibility for customer projects. Features include up to 16 CapSense buttons that can be integrated with the revolutionary SmartSense Auto-tuning algorithm, small footprint package, LED drive capability with the CY8CMBR2xxx series that eliminates the tuning process and compensates for environmental changes during runtime and the capability to have 15μA per button in run mode.

The CapSense Family is based on Cypress's Programmable System on Chip (PSoC) platform that provides customers with the flexibility needed to make last minute changes, offers robust noise immunity, enables quick time to market and system scalability. Cypress's latest addition to this portfolio is the ultra-low power CY8C20xx6A family for the most demanding Capacitive Sensing applications. This low-power family is enabled by Cypress SmartSense™ - the industry's most advanced Capacitive Sensing algorithm that makes Cypress CapSense the easiest to use in the market.
