XP Power’s JCG Series of low-power, isolated and regulated DC/DC converters come in an industry-standard metal-cased 24-DIP package measuring just 1.25 x 0.80 x 0.40 inches. The converters offer 12 and 15 Watt output models with a 2:1 input voltage range. The 24-DIP format makes them suitable as a low-cost drop-in replacement or a power upgrade in existing end products; saving the need to re-design the PCB layout.

The units offer the wide 2:1 input voltage options of 9 – 18 VDC, 18 – 36 VDC or 36 – 75 VDC, covering the nominal application voltages of 12, 24 and 48 VDC. Single output models are available with an output voltage of 2.5, 3.3, 5, 12 or 15 VDC. Dual output models offer +/-12 or +/-15 VDC outputs. The outputs are regulated to within +/-0.5% over all input conditions and to less than +/-1% for all load conditions, and provide 1,600 VDC of isolation.

The units operate over a wide temperature range of -40°C to +100°C. No additional heat sinking or forced airflow is required for the converter to achieve its full output rating.

The JCG series feature a remote on/off signal. This can be used to control the output rails or to sequence start-up procedures.

These highly-efficient DC/DC converters, up to 91%, are extremely reliable with an MTBF greater than 1 million hours.

All units feature overvoltage and continuous short-circuit protection.
