XP Power's ICZ and ITZ series of compact regulated 9 W DC-DC converters are believed to be the industry’s smallest 9 W DC-DC converters. The ICZ series accommodates a standard 2:1 input while the ITZ series accommodates an ultra-wide 4:1 input.  Both are available with single and dual outputs. Packaged in an ultra-compact metal cased SIP-8 package measuring just 21.9 mm x 11.2 mm x 9.6 mm (0.86 in. x 0.44 in. x 0.38 in.), the converters are up to 89% efficient and have a power density of 44 W per cubic inch. With their high efficiency, no additional heat sink components or forced airflow is required, ensuring that the converter occupies the smallest footprint possible, a key criteria of today’s space constrained designs.

The ICZ series offers three 2:1 input range options of either +9 V_DC to +18 V_DC, +18 V_DC to +36 V_DC, or +36 V_DC to +75 V_DC covering the standard inputs of +12 V_DC, +24 V_DC, and +48 V_DC. The ITZ series offers two 4:1 input range options of either +9 V_DC to +36 V_DC or +18 V_DC to +75 V_DC, covering all the popular nominal input voltages of +12 V_DC, +24 V_DC, and +48 V_DC. Single output models are available with +3.3 V_DC, +5 V_DC, +9 V_DC, +12 V_DC, +15 V_DC, or +24 V_DC. Duals provide ±5 V_DC, ±12 V_DC, or ±15 V_DC. No minimum load is required.

Input-to-output isolation is rated at 1.5 kV_DC across the range and, optionally, 3 kV_DC isolation is available on -H models. Suiting use in most environments, the ICZ and ITZ series can operate across the extended temperature range from -40°C to +85°C and deliver the full output power up to +60°C. A remote on/off function provides the ability to externally control the converter such as for sequencing start-up or automatically powering it on or off. All models meet EN55032 level A for conducted and radiated noise without any additional components.
