Phoenix Contact’s FINEPITCH connector series provides board-to-board solutions for signal and data transmission, allowing several PCB orientations, stack heights, and numbers of positions in a compact 0.8 mm or 1.27 mm pitch.
The FINEPITCH FP 0.8 product series with shielding ensures excellent electromagnetic compatibility and protects against interference, both generated within a device or resident external to the device. With its double-sided contact system and metal PCB anchors, the FP 0.8 offers an extremely robust PCB connection. The product line is offered in 12, 20, 32, 52, and 80 positions, and data transmission rates up to 16 Gbps are supported.
The unshielded FINEPITCH FP 1.27 product series raises the bar for product miniaturization from Phoenix Contact, with a compact, high-density design, offering space-saving board-to-board interconnection solutions for signal and data transmission. The 12, 16, 20, 26, 32, 40, 50, 68, and 80 position versions are ideal for currents up to 1.4 A and voltages up to 500 VAC.
The FP 0.8 and FP 1.27 parts are packaged on tape-and-reel to ensure easy integration into automated assembly processes. The FINEPITCH product range is RoHS and RoHS II compliant and has approval in accordance with UL 1977.
With the FINEPITCH product series, Phoenix Contact offers a complete portfolio of interconnect products to customers, providing board-to-board connectors to complement the existing portfolio of PCB terminal blocks and connectors. The addition of the FP 0.8 and FP 1.27 series of products allows connections with speeds up to 16 Gbps. While these types of products have been on the market for many years, these series offer board-to-board connectors with extremely small centerlines. Reliable mechanical and electrical connections are ensured due to the double-sided contact system and solder anchors, which reduce the mechanical strain on the individual contacts. Chamfered lead-ins and polarization prevent contact damage, providing reliable connections.
